A native of Rye NH, Stephen Diehl aka ‘Reno' first took his first step into the world of culinary arts via local favorite hot spot, the Carriage House Restaurant. Owner Paul S. Mackey and Reno have a shared a 20 year hospitality and personal relationship. Paul gave Reno all the tools and experiences needed to take his game to the next level which was the Culinary Institute of America at which he graduated in the top 5% of his class.
The next few stops were places like Wyndham Hotels and Resorts for three years, the road house cafe in Hyannis, Massachusetts, Jumpin' Jays Fish Cafe and Radici Restaurant both located in downtown Portsmouth. He then quickly ventured into the pursuit of off premise catering. At this stage he has been able to put all his experiences, from large volume to high end dining, to work for himself on a one on one basis with the public.
Over the past ten years Reno has enjoyed many inspiring occasions in some of the most beautiful homes and atmospheres the New England coastline has to offer. The one thing that has been consistent in his career is that he truly loves what he does and you can see it in his food as well as his personality.
